Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026. This policy describes what BakePen does with information when you use the site. The short version is that the site is built to have almost nothing to describe: it is a set of static pages, the tools run entirely in your browser, and there is no account system and no server-side processing of anything you type.
What the tools do with your input
Amounts, recipes, costs and lists that you enter into a tool are processed on your own device, in the page, and are not transmitted to BakePen or anyone else. If you close the tab, the input is gone. The single preference the site remembers — whether you chose the light or dark theme — is kept in your browser's local storage, on your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing site data.
Cookies
BakePen itself does not set tracking or analytics cookies. Because the site currently carries no advertising, no advertising cookies are set by visiting these pages today.
Advertising cookies and third-party ad partners
BakePen may in future be supported by advertising, including through Google AdSense. If ads are introduced, third-party ad partners — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. If advertising is introduced, this section will be updated with the partner list and controls in place at that time, and the advertising code will remain separate from the tools: it will have no access to anything you type into them.

Pages here link to a small number of external references. Those sites run under their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
